Prices Higher and Higher for All Things

My wife Saneh and I had business in Texas, and between appointments visited the CENTRAL MARKET, one of our favorite stops when in Fort Worth.

We walked the aisles with wonder, so colorful, so much abundance, and so much beauty of exotic foods.

tomatoes1 Tomatoes and more tomatoes!  Where did they all come from because in some grocery stores there is only one or two little shelves of tomatoes.

APPLES!  AND THEN LOOK AGAIN!

MORE APPLES OF DIFFERENT VARIETIES!!! SOMEONE MUST HAVE PICKED A FOREST OF APPLE TREES FOR THIS STORE!

STRANGE TINY ORANGES AND GREEN THINGS (ALVACADOES???)

AND WHAT ARE THESE?  FORGIVE MY IGNORENCE, BUT I WANTED TO BUY ONE AND TAKE A BITE JUST TO TASTE!

TOMATOES??? OR WHAT.  AND ARE THOSE PEPPERS OR CACTUS OR WHAT?

WAS A BIT AFRAID TO PICK ONE UP FOR FEAR IT MIGHT STING OR BITE!

STRANGE STUNTED ALVOCADOS?  I AM NOT SURE.

FRUIT, VEGETABLE?

HELP!!!!

OK, TINY FIRE HOT PEPPERS, WITH BLACK LEAVES.

Well, you got it.  We find it a joy to explore Central Market just to see how much we don't know about some foods!

But we have a ball going there.  And it illustrates, with all of the shortages, and lack of efficiency in the world economy, the shipping backlogs and

the economic woes. We are all uneasy still because of the violent attacks we saw on our Congress, with people trying to stop our Democratic way

of elections.  We feel the restlessness around the world and see the Corona and Delta Viral deaths mounting up (5,000,000 + now).

But a visit to Central Market reminds us of the wonderful nation we live in where hard work and a life of balance and mutual respect is still the

choice of a majority of Americans.

We read that the price of gas is going up. Food prices are up on average 20%.  Auto prices are going up!  Houses in some areas are up 18% or more!

Clothing, Household supplies, tools, trucks, you name it, going up. So we are seeing the highest inflation rate in the USA that we have

had in years.

But in spite of that, we still live in the best nation on earth.   And thankful that places like Central Market reminds us of the variety and

beauty of foods, flowers, and just the joy of shopping and looking!!

Yes, we are thankful for the beautiful foods and varieties that are still available to those who

love and appreciate them.  Thanks Central Market.  We could not afford everything, but managed to buy several fruits and vegetables

to try out and expand our taste buds...and have a lot of fun in the process!
