China Admits Truth on Harvesting Human Organs After Global Perspectives Article

On September 19, 2006, Global Perspectives reported that China had been harvesting human organs, from prisoners, and selling these human organs to international customers. The Chinese Government denied it, and responded with a huge "spam" attack on our site, to try to silence our reporting.

Our web-master reported "spam" loading up our computer lines from organized efforts. Upon tracking these, we were able to verify that much of it originated from Chinese sources. "It was the Chinese way of opposing your reporting" said our webmaster.

In an abrupt turn around, and after years of denial, China acknowledged, that it has been selling human organs, harvested from prisoners in China, to "foreigners who pay hefty sums". Chinese Deputy Health Minister Guangzhou, said: "Most of the organs are from executed prisoners, the current organ donation shortfall can't meet demand."

This is in conflict with China's law passed in July ruling that all sales of organs is illegal. In spite of this a Chinese transplant doctor, Dr. Zhonghua Chen, said in Boston, that Chines doctors had transplanted "8,102 kidneys, 3,741 livers, and 80 hearts in 2005".

When Global Perspectives reported this activity, initially we received a high number of letters from people of Chinese descent, indicating that they also knew of this activity and indicating outrage with China for promoting such activities.

Then, a few days later, a wave of pornographic spam, hit the site, and the comment section of that article in particular. We tracked the transmissions and most of them eventually originated with a government controlled agency in China, that deals in "media relations".

In a public statement, Ben B. Boothe, Senior, the editor of Global Perspectives said: "We have followed Chinese political leaders for years. This type of activity again reflects the basic fear of Chinese ideologues.

But, truth will be told, and we will tell that truth. China still has disclosed that many of the prisoners they executed were political prisoners who were members of groups that China opposed, such as Falun Gong and Tibetan leaders.

When China imprisoned and killed Tibetan leaders, we documented it. Truth will be told, because the only thing that propaganda has to fear, is truth. And truth has the most power."
