NEW GIANT AMAZON REGIONAL CENTER, IN ALBUQUERQUE
SOME PEOPLE TALK ABOUT GROWTH, AND TALK ABOUT JOB CREATION AND TALK ABOUT BUILDING NEW THINGS.
AND SOME PEOPLE JUST QUIETLY DO SOMETHING. JUST LOOK AT WHAT AMAZON HAS BUILT NEW IN ALBUQUERQUE.
The scale of this Amazon facility blows the mind. The main building is 500,000 + s.f., and is roughly the height of a 5 story building.
Just take a look at the photos, and it sits high on a hill where the entire city of Albuquerque and the overlooking mountains decorate
the view to the west. Bezos has a nice way to express his appreciation to his home town. Take a look!
Welcome to the front door of the Bezos Amazon place in Albuquerque that will hire 1000 people! Notice the front door to this massive building has a welcome wall
that is five (5) stories tall. Nice way to make a good impression Mr. Bezos!
THE FRONT DOOR ABOVE:
But that is not all. There is a support building beside it to the north, and a security guard told us that it has a small (by comparison) size of 150,000 s.f. All of this takes up quiet a space and makes the other industrial park areas in New Mexico seem small by comparison. Jeff Bezos, finally found a way to say "Thanks" to his hometown...the place he lived before his dream of moving to the NE and learning distribution and marketing techniques. Just imagine, he used what he learned to sell books by mail and internet. Now one of the richest men on on earth, he has said "Thank You" to his home town, creating an initial 1,000 new jobs, and bringing millions, almost uncountable millions in cash flow to the area. If you haven't driven by to see it, you must go, before they lock all of the gates and traffic makes entry difficult.
Atrisco Vista Blvd to the subject:
See the building below, this is the "small annex" (150,000 s.f. according to the guard on site). "Gotta hand it to Jeff Bezos and Amazon, they have a classy way, they don't just hand out a business card, they invest millions into a community." says Ben Boothe, Publisher of Boothe Global Perspectives.
The complex has water source systems, storage, flood storage, secured campus and is modern and beautiful. Just look. The pictures are worth a thousand words.
To Amazon, and Jeff Bezos, let me on behalf of the thousands of people in Albuquerque, appreciate this, because so many will benefit from the economic growth and jobs, in a "clean" industry. As a commercial appraiser, we understand and deeply
appreciate what this means to the Albuquerque economy. Me and my thousands of readers of this publication, say loudly: "THANK YOU!"
