EDEN GARDENS PROJECT OF CORNUCOPIA-ENTERPRISE
Eden Gardens Project, by Cornucopia-enterprise (http://www.cornucopia-enterprise.com) is announcing the new Energy/Food/Water/Composting campus on Earth Day 2012. It is hard to believe that 6 years ago we were thinking of the potential of Wind Power and negotiating with manufacturers in Holland to import their turbines. Today there are thousands of wind turbines producing power for millions of homes. Now, Eden Gardens Project combines not only wind power, but solar PV, solar water heating, in an overall campus that can grow food, create energy, desalinate water, and do all at triple the efficiency of traditional systems.
When www.wind-inc.com first opened its offices between Fort Worth and Weatherford, on I-30, we had 30+ calls a day from people wanting to know more. People are interested in renewable energy, and in some cases prices are coming down.
In 2005 we had to pay $800 or more for a 220 watt solar panel. Today, on Earth Day of 2012http://environment-solutions.com reports that the same panels can be had for $400 each. Half the price of 2005 and reports are that use of solar PV is increasing throughout the world, because of lower cost for solar power and higher prices for oil.
In 2006 we made a presentation stating that the price of oil would increase as oil reserves depleted. At that time oil was at $80 per barrel, today oil is well over $120.
Earth Day marks recognition that energy is becoming more and more expensive, but also that renewable energy, when combined with other systems, can be very profitable.
While we have had new natural gas development, all experts agree that oil and gas are a temporary solution. Coal is abundant but it is dirty causing millions of people to suffer and some die from coal pollution. Nuclear energy, as Japan has proved, has great risk. Plus drilling and production of oil, gas, coal and nuclear pollutes millions of gallons of water. Water is another scarce and precious resource that we can no longer afford to squander. As Thomas Edison said "We are like people cutting down each other's trees for power. The true solution is energy from wind, water, sun." He was right!.Renewable and sustainable energy production must be expanded.
I can see the day when nearly every small business, or private home, mall, bank, retail building, apartment complex, hospital, university and commercial building will have solar panels or wind turbines or solar water heating. WHY? Because it is logical. See the Eden Gardens Project, when you see the video, the images are worth 1000 words. It could change our society for food, water and energy production.

It is appropriate that Cornucopia-enterprise has designed the Eden Gardens Project. It is the culmination of years of work and research to create a self sustaining campus that will provide food, water, and energy for thousands of people. Plus it will not be reliant on any central grid or system, so if there is a weather disaster, terrorist attack or international disruption of our food and energy supply chains, we can fall back on Eden Gardens Projects for supplies.The Eden Gardens campus by Cornucopia-enterprise, will be able to serve as a back up, redundant supply, of energy, water, food, and jobs and economic development!
We have been in contact with Senators, Governors , Homeland Security, Office of Emergency Planning and a host of municipal and community leaders, who like this approach. We have learned that some remote areas, such as mountain, desert and island areas may have electric rates up to 8 times higher than urban areas of the USA and those areas which were one time huge agricultural producers and exporters have fallen into dependency upon tourism or retail . Much agricultural land has gone vacant and fallow, due to economic change, drought or simple lack of interest. (Does that sound familiar to you?)
Indeed Eden Gardens promotes agriculture In a most profitable way, using greenhouses powered by solar panels and drip irrigated soils to grow healthy organic fresh food year around. We do sub soil heating so that even in cold climates we can grow food.

5. Desalination. This campus takes salty or brackish water and desalinates it, providing a new supply of fresh water. Areas throughout the world are projecting water crisis. Eden Gardens has the solution and the technology to desalinate, otherwise useless water.
6. Provides a place for students and professors to research and develop new integrated food and water technologies
7. Will include a media center and produce videos, films, and publications for education and promote new and improved agricultural, energy and water applications
8. Will have fish farms for production of food with omega oils and healthy sea food
9. The Eden Garden master plan has areas designed for algae production. Algae can produce over 19 times more feed per acre for livestock than hay, cotton or milo. Also algae for oil production and a enclosed facility to grow pharmaceutical grade algae that may have cures for ulcers, even cancer.
10. Eden Project can work with local developers to create an adjoining areas for housing utilizing PV and wind as well as excess power from the campus. This would allow Eco-tourists, researchers, or students to have a "green house" to stay in.
11. Scalable and sizable, so that Eden Garden Projects could be small enough for a private business or large enough to feed and provide water and energy for large cities.
12. A new market will emerge from people coming to Eden Gardens to purchase fresh and canned foods grown organically, which taste better,are healthier, and are a local product. Financially, Saneh Boothe is using the feasibility studies done by the USDA and reported bywww.benboothe.com pointing out that:
1. The average high tunnel greenhouse makes $5 to $7 per year per square feet of area. So assume that a farmer has only 10 acres of land, that could produce $2,178,000 per year or more. This has an impact to encourage more people to put their idle land into greenhouse food production.
2.The pictured campus is projected to generate $950,000 per year gross and $550,000 net per year.
3. The USDA numbers do not make into consideration free energy, free water, or sub soil heating for the cold winter months,therefore it is possible that the earnings potential can be higher.
4. Desalination systems when powered by wind inc turbines and PV can produce potable water for about 1/4 of the average cost of a typical city in the USA. Thus there is a huge profit potential in the desalination.
5. Algae is being referred to as one of the future's best sources of food, feed and fuel in the next decade. The Eden Gardens Project is designed to utilize algae and develop it to the fullest. The profit potential per acre crop is 20 times greater than traditional crops such as sugar cane, wheat, corn, or cotton.
6. Accepting and handling organic biodegradable garbage from cities and counties which normally pay $40 to $60 for tipping fees and fuel expense to dump in landfills can take these to Eden Gardens for $20% less and the resulting compost can be sold for a 200% profit by Eden gardens Project.
7. The canning area and kitchen will generate about 72% profit while also providing a useful service for local area growers.
