BUSH PEOPLE PAY PRESS TO WRITE KIND ARTICLES ABOUT HIM
10 journalists from Radio, TV, and major newspapers in Miami, Florida were exposed in national news wires as having accepted money to write articles or promote special opinions.
Perhaps it is not news to think that a reporter would accept money, to "make up" or "spin" news stories. It has long been noticed by the educated and thoughtful people of society that money can "buy" the press exposure that it wants.
And many news reporters, are all too happy to stroke the egos and try to gain favor with the rich and powerful of society.
- What is unusual about this story? Not that it happens. It happens a lot. Just look at the "kiss ass" stories written about the rich and powerful in every Sunday newspaper, or on every T.V. and Radio station.
- It is not unusual that underpaid or ambitious reporters would want to enrich themselves by "spinning" news for a hand out.
- It is not unusual that a corrupt, rich man would want to 'buy' news to build his ego or reputation.
WHAT IS UNUSUAL IS THAT THE ONE "BUYING" THE NEWS AND TRYING TO ALTER IT IS THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION!
The very people who have preached about honesty, freedom of speech, and truth in reporting. The Bush administration has spent $37,000,000.00 this year, on rado, tv, and newspapers this year. Federal auditors said that "The Bush administration has violated the law by disseminating 'covert propiganda'".
Pablo Alfonso, reporter for the El Nuevo Herald, received $175,000 from the Bush White House for writing negative articles about Fidel Castro.Olga Conner, Wilfredo Cancio Isla, took $15,000 and $71,000 respectively. Was it a breach of journalistic ethics for them to take the money? Lawyers say "Yes". Was it against the law for Bush to offer it? Federal audiors say, "Yes".
Jaun Manuel Cao, for Channel 41 TV got $11,000, Radio Manbi's Ninoska Perez-Castellion, too $1,550 to do a series against Castro and Cuba.
Fidel Castro had reported numerous times that this was going on, but the U.S. Government and the American people simply ignored it. Now we know, that Castro has regularly and constantly been "negatively spun" by some of the most prominent news services of the U.S.A.
It is accepted that it is against the law. It is accepted that Bush has done this throughout his presidency. Yet, the American people seem to either be unaware, or simply don't have the courage or energy to try again to attack the arrogance, of this administration. There have been so many violations of law by this presidency, and even when the highest courts in the land confirm this, the Bush people just ignore it and continue on.
One thing is certain. Those of us in the connected generation, in the global community, we see it. We know what is happening. History will document and expose the massive violations of law of this political group that has controlled the U. S.A. for the past few years. Scholars, historians, insiders and observers will assure that history tells the truth. And the truth is that this group will go down in history as poor examples of honesty, and poor examples of what America and Americans are supposed to represent.
